Gautrain in ongoing talks with police

Gautrain says it has no jurisdiction to police the area outside its stations.
Meter taxi operators stoned an Uber vehicle outside the Sandton Gautrain station on Friday.
The window of the vehicle was smashed.
Gautrain spokesperson Kesagee Nayager says: "We do have regular discussions with SAPS and other policing authorities to assist where possible and ask for assistance in policing the areas outside our stations."
Gautrain services were not disrupted as a result of the incident.
Three Metro Police officers were injured after attempting to intervene.
Metro Police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says the officers are recovering in hospital.
Meter taxi drivers are protesting against Uber drivers becoming licensed operators.
