Gigaba fights damning 'lie-judgement'
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Finance Minister, Malusi Gigaba, has indicated that he will appeal the High Court judgement that found he had committed a breach of the Constitution by lying under oath.
"We believed that ruling was flawed. It was fundamentally flawed," says Gigaba.
North Gauteng High Court Judge Neil Tuchten found that Gigaba's conduct was "so serious that I would characterise it as a violation" of the Constitution.
Speaking at a post budget briefing in Cape Town on Thursday morning, Gigaba confirmed his intention to challenge the ruling.
