Good wishes for matrics
The ANC Youth League on Sunday called on matric pupils to remain resilient and focused throughout their final exams.
"We trust the class of 2013 to be the class that will once more attest to the better state of our basic education system," said ANCYL spokesman Bandile Masuku.
Masuku also reminded those who are eligible to vote to register for the 2014 general elections.
Meanwhile the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal believed the 2013 matric class will do well as there has been a steady increase in the matric pass rate in the province in the past few years.
"With the excellent work that the department of education has done in ensuring that education remains a top priority, the ANC has no doubt that the province is ready to conduct credible matric results," said ANC spokesman Senzo Mkhize.
Mkhize said the fact that the number of matric pupils continued to grow every year proved that the ANC government programme of ensuring that every child had access to education was quickly bearing fruit.
The Western Cape's MEC of social development Albert Fritz also wished matriculants well.
"I want to wish them only the best for this milestone test that lies ahead," said Fritz.
