President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that a fund will be opened in memory of slain 21-year old student Precious Ramabulana.
Ramabulana was found dead in her student accommodation in Mokomene, Limpopo last week after she was stabbed to death in the early hours of the morning.
A suspect, who allegedly stabbed Ramabulana 52 times, accused has since been apprehended by police.
Ramaphosa visited the Ramabulana family home on Sunday.
“The family has decided that they would like to set up a Precious Ramabulana fund or trust.
“We are going to support them in this, because we believe that when we have non-governmental organisations like trusts that are aimed at addressing the issue of gender-based violence, we will be able to have national cohesion.”
