Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa said on Thursday that government is committed to reviewing its scholar transport policy.

This comes after six pupils were killed in a horrific crash between their school bus and a train at a level crossing in Middleburg, Mpumalanga on Wednesday.
The bus was reportedly carrying over 30 pupils from school enroute to Mafube Village.
Twenty more pupils escaped with moderate to critical injuries.
Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa visited the crash site on Thursday.
"Investigation into the accident is underway, we remain fundamentally concerned about road safety, generally in the country and scholar transport specifically,
"At this point we are looking at the scholar transport policy to ensure that a review is conducted and there is a cooperation between the department of Transport and Education,"
"What happened is tragic, we are looking at programmes to enhance behavioural change in driving, we are calling for the investigations to be given space and we need to desist from speculations."
