Gupta family's citizenship in the spotlight
Government officials are set to be grilled in Parliament today over the Gupta family's naturalisation.
Documents emerged showing then Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba granted the family South African citizenship even though the department had earlier rejected their application.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) made the documents public, threatening to go to court to have the family's citizenship revoked.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has also slammed the former Minister of Home Affairs, calling for a full ad-hoc Parliamentary Committee into state capture.
