Hawks raid Bank Of Baroda branches
The Hawks have confirmed
it has operated search and seizure at two branches of the Bank Of Baroda as
part of the State Capture investigation.
Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi, says these are the Gauteng branch in Sandton and the Durban branch in Kwazulu-Natal.
"We are of the view that the bank was used as a channel for illicit funds from state-owned enterprises to private individuals and companies," says Mulaudzi.
Mulaudzi says the aim of Friday’s operations was to seize documents including electronic equipment to enhance ongoing investigations.
