House fire kills one, injures five
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
A man was killed and five others injured during a house fire in Rustenburg last night.
ER24 says they were called to the scene at around 10.00pm.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says the fire was already extinguished when they arrived on scene.
"When fire fighters later walked through the home, they found the body of a man lying inside one of the rooms. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his multiple injuries. Nothing could be done for him and they he declared dead," says Meiring.

Meiring says paramedics assessed five other patients and found that one man and one woman had sustained burn wounds over most of their bodies and were in a critical condition.
"The three other patients had sustained moderate burn wounds," says Meiring.
Meiring says the cause of the fire is unknown but all relevant services were on scene to begin their investigations.
