Man shoots, kills wife at Durban court

KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed that a man who shot
and killed two people in the Durban Magistrates Court is
in a critical condition in hospital.
Police have confirmed that an off-duty police officer allegedly shot his wife and her brother - before turning the gun on himself during divorce proceedings.
Provincial police spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says initial indications are that the 32-year-old officer produced his service pistol and opened fire - instantly killing his wife and brother-in-law.

Mbhele says the man was rushed to hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
"The 32-year-old suspect is at the hospital in a critical condition but he is under police guard. He will be charged with two counts of murder. This is a unique scene, as it happened inside the court. So the police are still busy there. They are also trying to interview the witnesses and determine the motive behind the killing."
The exact motive for the shooting is not known.
