Myeni appeared in the High Court in Pretoria on Thursday.

The Organization Undoing Tax Abuse and the SAA Pilots Association wants Myeni to be declared a deliquent director.

She has denied claims that she was responsible for collapsing a deal between the airline and Emirates that would have gauranteed SAA R1.5 billion in profit.

"It is not true that Emirates deal was blocked by Dudu, it is not true that SAA lost billions of rands because we did not approve this."

According to the evidence leader, Advocate Kate Hofmeyr, the vetting process was invasive, unnecessary and unlawful.

Myeni told the court the board did not initially approve the deal because it had to apply it's mind before making a decision.

She also said Emirates and the former SAA CEO Nico Bezuidenhout put pressure on her to approve a deal.

"I was shocked when former President Jacob Zuma called me to ask me why he was receiving calls on a deal that was the responsibility of the board, just because I was the chairperson of the Zuma foundation does not mean I took SAA matters there."
