I have peace that surpasses all understanding, says Mkhwebane
Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has told her supporters that she has “peace that surpasses all understanding”.
Scores of people gathered at the Kwamhlanga show grounds in Mpumalanga on Friday for a mass prayer session for Mkhwebane and her office.
Those in attendance included APC leader Themba Godi and the ANC Women’s League President Bathabile Dlamini.

“I should really be saying thank you for praying for us as a family. Almost all of my family members are here. Busisiwe has peace that surpasses all understanding. But I will still continue and say pray for my family who is still a teenager who will also need a lot of support and prayer,” she said.
Mkhwebane has suffered a string of legal setbacks with both the high court and the Constitutional Court ruling against her.
Mkhwebane has now withdrawn her intention to appeal a High Court judgment on Thursday, which suspended her remedial action against Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan on the SARS Rogue Unit matter.
