Malepane concluded his testimony in the trial against Ntuthuko Shoba on Friday.

Shoba is accused of hiring Malepane in April 2020 to kill his girlfriend Tshegofatso Pule who was found hanging on a tree in Durban Deep, Roodepoort in June that year.

Malepane previously testified that he did not ask Shoba when he was going to pay him the R70 000 fee for killing Pule since he was afraid of him.

During re-examination by the State, Malepane revealed why Shoba feared him and said he lived like a gangster at the time.

The convict is recorded as a first time offender since he has no previous criminal record.

On Monday, the state will call a cell phone analyst from the South African Police Services and some of Malepane’s friends.
