IEC briefs media on candidates, parties ahead of election

More than 8000 candidates have been disqualified from contesting the 2016 Local Government Election on 3 August. 

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) briefed media on Wednesday following the certification and finalisation of parties and candidates.
