Infant among 3 killed in Mpumalanga head-on collision

Authorities in Mpumalanga have confirmed three people, including a one-month-old infant, have been killed in a head-on collision.
Spokesperson for the police in Mpumalanga Selvy Mohlala says the two cars on the R39 Road near Lothair on Monday afternoon.
“According to the report, police at Lothair attended to an accident scene where it is alleged that a blue VW Polo TSI was travelling from Ermelo, direction towards Lothair, when it collided head-on with a white Audi A3 sedan, which was traveling from Lothair direction towards Ermelo.

“Further than that, it is reported that the three passengers of the Polo lost their lives on the scene, and they are a 1-month-old baby girl, 13-year-old boy and 27-year-old woman.”
The two occupants of the other car sustained serious injuries.
“The driver of the Polo, as well as two other occupants, sustained some serious injuries as well and have all been taken to hospital for treatment.”
The exact cause of the crash will be investigated.
