The South African Weather Service has warned of freezing temperatures from Tuesday across most parts of the country.
Cold, sub-polar weather conditions are expected to hit the country from Tuesday.
Weather forecaster Wayne Venter says another cold front is expected to last until the weekend.
"We do have cold front weather system that is coming through later on the day into tomorrow.
"We have another cold front coming through on Wednesday and that one will drop temperature significantly over the country from Wednesday, Thursday, and into the weekend."
Snowfall is expected to hit Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape.
"We just have a little bit of yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rainfall along the Garden Route and Overberg District of the Western Cape," adds Venter.
"We have a possibility of disruptive snowfall especially over the high ground of Western Cape, the southern high ground of Northern Cape, and expected to spread to the high ground of the Eastern Cape on Wednesday evening into Thursday morning."
