Jimmy siblings: NCC failed in its duties
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
The Jimmy family has accused the National Consumer Commission (NCC) of failing to hold Ford to account.
Reshall Jimmy died after his Ford Kuga burst into flames in December 2015, but the company insists the death is not related to the recent problems with the model.
Kaveen Jimmy has accused Ford SA of not being sincere in their handling of his brother's death.
"Ford forced us to relive this loss every day and it gets heavier and heavier for us to deal with and they don't understand that the simplest thing we want is closure. We want them to accept responsibility on this defect," said Kaveen.

During a media briefing, Jimmy's sister, Renisha, went toe-to-toe with NCC spokesperson Trevor Hattingh - saying the commission failed in its duty.
"Since December to date, yesterday, contacting Trevor...he blocked me. I can't get through to him. I'm definitely blocked by him," said Renisha.
"I stopped responding to her via telephone, because now it was becoming a harassment, all day long. It was just becoming a harassment," Hattingh responded.
