Joburg school bus driver involved in hit-and-run

A manhunt has been launched for a
school bus driver who fled after causing a collision in Yeoville while
transporting pupils on Tuesday.

The driver allegedly skipped a red traffic light before colliding with another car.
Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Wayne Minaar says the driver then fled the scene with the injured children still inside the bus.

Police are still unsure as to the exact whereabouts of the children.Minaar says the police are waiting on the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash to give them the registration plate of the minibus, which will allow them to track down the driver.
Minaar says the driver of the minibus will be charged with reckless and negligent driving.
