On Monday the judgement was moved from Gauteng to Cape Town because the judge was hearing a case in the Mother City, but shortly after this confirmation is was announced that the case would, after all, be delivered in Gauteng.

Solidarity confirmed on Tuesday that the case was moved back to the Labour Court in Johannesburg and that another judge would deliver the judgement.

The journalists were dismissed by the SABC after questioning the editorial decision not to broadcast violent protests.

The union was representing Foeta Krige, Suna Venter, Krivani Pillay and Jacques Steenkamp.
