The death toll in the Jukskei river baptism tragedy has risen to 15 after the discovery of yet another congregant’s body.
The woman was found under a bridge in Sandton near the M1 highway on Wednesday.
Fourteen people died after they were swept away by flash floods during a baptism ritual near Bramley Park.
It is understood that a group of 30 churchgoers were attending the ceremony when a storm hit over the weekend.
Emergency services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says the three-month-old baby remains missing.
"Today we discovered a female adult and the other female who was reported missing was identified by her family at the mortuary, and now the three-months-old baby is the only one that is missing, so right now, we have 15 bodies recovered," he says.
The search was called off on Wednesday due to bad weather but was set to resume on Thursday.
