K-word rant ‘a moment of madness’, says Catzavelos
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Adam Catzavelos made his second appearance in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday.
“In my moment of madness that I had last year, I am completely embarrassed and utterly ashamed at what I did and what I said. I express my sympathy and sorrow to anyone who I upset and whose dignity I harmed,” he told the media following his brief court appearance.
Catzavelos will be back in court next month, when his new lawyer Lawley Shein will make submissions to the National Director of Public Prosecutions.
Shein also confirmed that Catzavelos is facing prosecution in Greece.

However, the exact charges are not known at this stage as the court papers first need to be translated.
The NPA’s Phindi Mjonondwane could not confirm the reports:
The EFF, which brought the charges against Catzavelos, is happy with Thursday’s proceedings.
