'Kagiso Serial Killers' sentenced to 170 years in jail

Two suspects found guilty on several counts of robbery and murder have been sentenced to a total 170 years in prison each.
Tshegofatso Mathabula, age 25, and Luckyboy Nxasane, age 27, appeared before the Johannesburg High Court on Friday following their arrests in 2018.
The two were found guilty of robbing and killing 5 people in Kagiso in the east of Johannesburg.
They were also found guilty on a single count of attempted murder in the area.

West Rand Police District Commissioner Greg Kekana says the high court has ordered that sentences for each murder run concurrently.
"This means that they will serve an effective 40 years direct imprisonment, they will rot in jail" explains Kekana
