Kagiso shooting leaves 3 dead, 6 others wounded
Police in Kagiso on the West Rand of Johannesburg are on the hunt for two assailants following the fatal shooting of three people on Friday night.
While it's still unclear what the motive for the attack is, the police's Brenda Muridili says the pair - who were wearing balaclavas - indiscriminately shot at a group of people that had gathered at a house in Soul City before fleeing.
Three people were declared dead on the scene.
"Two men and one woman aged between 45 and 46 were certified dead by paramedics on the scene while six people (two men and four women) were rushed to the local hospital for medical attention,” confirmed Muridili.
She also says it's not known how the suspects fled the scene.
Police have pleaded for the public's assistance as they probe three counts of murder, and six of attempted murder.
No arrests have been made.
