KZN ANC slams Senzo Mchunu for 'undermining the organisation'
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
ANC officials are calling on former KwaZulu Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu to respect and adhere to the party's protocol.
"We are issuing a call to him and others like him not to undermine the centrality of the organisation," he said.
KZN spokesperson, Mdumiseni Ntuli says they're concerned about comments made by Mchunu to the media this week.
Mchunu told Eye Witness News that he's unhappy with the ruling party's current state and can no longer say President Jacob Zuma is a good leader for the organisation.
The ANC provincial leadership described Mchunu as being desperate for attention.
"We are extremely concerned that having called into order the ANC Youth League in our province recently, we now have to deal with a comrade who should have accumulated a particular level of experience and knowledge that should've deterred him from going public with matters that the National Executive Committee said should not yet be discussed in the public," he said.
Mchunu stepped down as Premier of KZN last year after reported pressure from the ruling party to resign.
