Langlaagte licencing Department remains closed
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
The Langlaagte Licencing Department will remain closed this morning.
That’s to allow further investigations, following a break in at the offices over the weekend.
Five suspects reportedly entered the Langlaagte testing department on Sunday and bombed three cash safes.
The suspects managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of money from one safe.
Public Safety MMC Michael Sun has urged motorists to use alternative licencing departments.
"Motorists should either use Roodepoort licencing centre or the one in Randburg so that we can ease the pressure being built up at the Langlaagte licencing centre," says Sun.
Sun says he also hopes that investigations will be completed soon to allow normal operations to resume.
