Last day to submit NSFAS applications for 2017
Updated | By KayaFM
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has warned it will not be extending the deadline to receive applications for 2017.

Today is the last day to apply for government funding for those who wish to study at tertiary institutions next year.
NSFAS says the number of applications received still remains lower than previous years with only 200 000 of the about 600 000 matriculants having submitted applications for funding.

NSFAS CEO, Msulwa Daca says it is important for students to apply on time so that funding can be finalised by early next year.
"We're concerned that the number of applications received from Grade 12 learners is not where it should be. The reason for the early opening of application is to be able to assess all applications early so that we can communicate the results early before the start of the 2017 academic year," he said.
