Law enforcement ‘out in full force’ for ZCC Moria pilgrimage
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety Dickson Masemola has vowed that law enforcement officials will be out in full force on the province’s roads this weekend.
Thousands of Zion Christian Church (ZCC) congregants will embark on a pilgrimage to Zion City Moria to declare the beginning of a new year.
The N1 and the R71 leading to Limpopo from Gauteng are expected to experience high traffic volumes over the weekend.
Masemola says extra law enforcement will be deployed to the area and officers will be on duty 24 hours a day.
“Both provincial and national traffic officers will be on the road, particularly on the N1, because that’s where we experience a lot of problems.”
He urged motorists to make use of alternative routes to the province over the weekend.
