Lenasia woman's body found in veld
The body of a 20-year-old woman was found by a passer-by in an open veld in Lenasia South, Johannesburg, on Wednesday, Gauteng police said.
"She was found with open wounds on her upper body and it appears as though she was stabbed with a sharp object," Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
The woman's cellphone was found still in her possession.
Her parents said they had last seen her on Tuesday night when she told them she was going to bed.
The motive for the killing was unknown and no arrests had been made.
