Limpopo ANC councillor arrested for hosting a party during lockdown

An African National Congress (ANC) councillor was arrested on Thursday inMakhado, Limpopo.
This after a video clip emerged showing the councillor celebrating her 39th birthday with friends at the weekend - violating lockdown regulations.
Police spokesperson Vish Naidoo says Limpopo police acted after receiving complaints.

"She was arrested together with two other people. A fourth is outstanding and will be arrested soon.
"Those who’ve been arrested have been granted bail of R1000," says Naidoo.
The councillor and her co-accused are set to appear again the Makhado Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.
