Limpopo father behind bars for allegedly killing son

Police in Limpopo have arrested a 71-year-old man for allegedly shooting and killing his 26-year-old son.

The son's body was found lying in a street at Mentz village in Mankweng outside Polokwane on Saturday.
He had a bullet wound on the upper body and was declared dead on the scene.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the biological father locked himself inside the house following the incident.
The man was arrested following negotiations with the police.
"During the arrest, police confiscated a revolver firearm that was use for the commission of the crime with three live ammunition and two empty cartridges.
"The motive for this incident is currently unknown," says Ledwaba.
The suspect is expected to appear before Mankweng Magistrate's Court soon.
