Limpopo residents urged to use water sparingly
Updated | By Thabo Tshabalala
Limpopo residents have been urged to use water sparingly as dam levels in the province continue to drop.
The Department of Water and Sanitation’s Sputnik Ratau says there has been a decline in dam levels over the past few weeks.
"The dam levels are continuing to drop in the province, particularly because of the high temperatures and we are aware the rains have not really come.
“We realise that the dam levels week-on-week are dropping, although they are better than where they were a year ago.”
The province could implement restrictions on usage to ensure there is enough water until it rains.
