Limpopo woman's body found, boyfriend arrested
Police in Limpopo have found the body of a young woman, Mavis Mabala hidden in bushes outside Phadzima village.
The police made the gruesome discovery in the early hours of this morning.
The police's Moatshe Ngoepe says Mabala's 30-year-old boyfriend has been arrested for allegedly killing her and disposing of her body.
"He pointed out the spot where he allegedly killed her and dumpted the body."
Mabala's disappearance led to community protests, and the torching of the local police station and two police vehicles.
The latest incident comes shortly after the horrific killing of 22-year old Karabo Mokoena, who was reported missing on the 28th of April in Diepkloof, Soweto.
Police discovered the body of a burnt woman on the 29th of April in Lyndhurst and further investigations led to the arrest of her boyfriend, 27-year-old Sandile Mantsoe.
He appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Friday, and will formally apply for bail later this month.
