[LISTEN] IFP councilor killed in KZN in apparent 'hit'

The police's Nqobile Gwala confirmed that a case of murder and attempted murder is being investigated after the shooting incident in Escourt.

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) says one of its' councillors have been killed in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in an apparent hit.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the party said the incident occurred in the KZN Midlands.
"The Party is in consultation with the SAPS, witnesses and the bereaved family to establish the facts and circumstances of this killing," it Twitted. "We request that the family be given the space and time to process this tragedy."

The police's Nqobile Gwala confirmed that a case of murder and attempted murder is being investigated after the shooting incident in Escourt.
She says the 39-year old man was driving with two passengers when unknown suspects opened fire on the vehicle, killing the driver and injuring the two passengers.
She did not want to speculate as to whether the killing was politically motivated.
