LISTEN: Malema lashes out at ANC
Updated | By MornéJK jk
A group of EFF supporters breached the tight security at the Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg at the weekend and invaded the pitch during the party’s second anniversary celebration.
The group outran marshals who tried to stopped them. The marshals eventually managed to control the pitch invaders, but another group on the western side of the stadium then pushed forward and reached the steel barriers near the stage. They were ordered not to push forward anymore and marshalls eventually managed to bring matters under control.
At the time of the pitch invasion, artists were performing on stage as part of the birthday celebrations.
EFF leader Julius Malema launched a scathing attack on the ANC and its leadership in his address, saying they planned to contest every municipality across the country in the municipal elections next year.
Maryke Vermaak was there.
