LISTEN: One day in politics is long – De Lille
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Outgoing Cape Town Mayor Patricia
De Lille says she's taking things one day at a time.
De Lille addressed the Cape Town Press Club two days before she is expected to leave office.
A coy De Lille, however, told the press club that those who have been asking her whether or not she will still resign - must wait until Wednesday.
"My emphasis now is clearing my name and I think I need to be respected for that," De Lille said.
De Lille explained that she decided to step down as mayor since the Bowman's report was supposed to be released at the end of October.

She says two reports from the same company about the same issue have two results, one where her name has been cleared and another where it is recommended that she go through disciplinary hearings.
De Lille says she wants to go to court and make sure that her name is cleared before Wednesday.
"I'm taking one day at a time because a day in politics is a long time."
