LIVE: Minister Gordhan delivers 2017 Budget Speech
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is delivering his budget for 2017 in Parliament.

The National Budget Speech is being presented against the backdrop of sluggish economic growth, the looming threat of a possible negative view by independent rating agencies, fees must fall campaign as well as uncertainty in the global economic conditions.
Speculation is also rife that this could be Gordhan's last budget speech and that former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe is being groomed to take over Treasury.
Economists believe Gordhan will increase personal income tax, while students are calling on the Finance Minister to prioritise education and employment.
