[LIVE] MPs debate Ramaphosa's SONA
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
Members of Parliament will respond to President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of the Nation Address on Tuesday.
President Ramaphosa delivered his much-anticipated address before a joint sitting of Parliament on Thursday evening.
The sitting got off to a rough start when Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema raised a point of order, calling for former president FW de Klerk to leave the house.
Malema also called for Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan to be sacked from the ministry.
While Gordhan remains in cabinet, Ramaphosa has vowed to fix the ailing state-owned enterprises, youth unemployment and the stagnant economy.
Another fiery debate is expected in the National Assembly on Tuesday.
