[Live] Ramaphosa replies to SONA debate
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
President Cyril Ramaphosa will reply to the debate on his State of the Nation Address in the National Assembly on Thursday.
Ramaphosa delivered his much-anticipated address before a joint sitting of Parliament last week Thursday.
The sitting got off to a rough start when Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema raised a point of order, calling for former president FW de Klerk to leave the house.
In his SONA address Ramaphosa vowed to revive the economy, to fight endemic corruption and to deal with the stubbornly high at 29.1 percent.
Members of Parliament (MPs) debated SONA on Tuesday and Wednesday where the House also occasionally descended into chaos.
Ramaphosa will respond to the concerns raised by MPs.
