Load shedding to be suspended on Wednesday
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Eskom says it will suspend load shedding for most of Wednesday due to an improvement in generation capacity.
The planned power cuts will resume with stage 3 from 16:00 on Wednesday until 5:00 on Thursday.
The battling power utility says various load shedding stages will be implemented until Sunday.
Spokesperson Menzi Mngomezulu said over the past 24 hours, a generating unit at Arnot, Camden and Lethabo power stations was returned to service.
"In the same period, a generating unit at Kriel and Tutuka power stations was taken offline for repairs. The delay in returning to service two generating units at Kendal and a generating unit at Tutaka power stations are contributing to the current capacity constraints".
