Load shedding-free weekend ahead, says Eskom

Eskom says load shedding will be suspended over the weekend due to the anticipated lower electricity demand and adequate emergency reserves.

However, stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 4pm on Friday. today until 5am on Saturday.


Thereafter, load shedding will be suspended until 4pm on Monday.  


Spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says an update on the outlook of the next week will be announced on Sunday.


"Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” she said
