Stage 1 load-shedding returns
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Eskom has confirmed that it will be implementing Stage 1 load-shedding from 11am on Thursday.
The blackouts are expected to last until 11pm.
Eskom's Andrew Etzinger says it's due to a lack of sufficient generating capacity due to an electrical fault at one of the units in Mpumalanga.
"This follows a trip at the Kusile power station on Thursday morning. A lot of our plants are experiencing breakdowns at the moment."
The load-shedding schedules can be found on Eskom's website as well as those of the various municipalities.
