Lunar substation repairs 'on track' - City Power
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena has assured Lenasia residents that repairs to the Lunar substation "are on track".

Mangena gave an update on the progress of the work being done following the fire at the substation on Saturday evening.
The incident left residents in Lenasia South, Migson Manor, Finetown, Mountain View, and surrounding areas without electricity.
Mangena said despite external interruptions by the rain, the teams persevered with repairs at the substation.
"Significant progress has been made, particularly concerning the feeder board, transformer, oil, and cables.
"Key achievements during this process include: Transformer tests have been successfully cleared, oil samples have been cleared of contamination, new protection cables and power (single core) cables have been positioned for termination, the feeder board has been thoroughly cleaned and cleared.
"Burnt protection cables have been successfully removed, planned replacement of the auxiliary transformer and protection cables. We will continue to provide updates, and the estimated restoration time will be communicated once determined. Customers are advised to unplug appliances during the outage to prevent inrush when supply is restored."
