Magalies Water warns of low reservoir levels amid power failure
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
Magalies Water on Monday warned residents of Tshwane residents to use water sparingly as several areas in the city struggled with low reservoir levels.

On Sunday, a power failure led to water supply interruptions in some areas supplied by the Cullinan Water Treatment Plant.
The warning comes as the City of Tshwane also shut down the water supply in Ninapark and nearby areas for emergency repairs to a pipe.
“Subsequent to the issuance of the notice, Eskom has been able to resolve the supply, and the raw water pump station supplying the Cullinan Water Treatment Plant is in operation. The system remains stable,” said Magalies Water spokesperson David Magae.
“Customers are encouraged to use water sparingly during this period in order to prevent prolonged water supply interruptions. Updates will be communicated once and when new information becomes available.”
