Magashule: I will never allow anyone to take the ANC from me

Suspended African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Ace Magashule, believes the party resolutions taken at the Nasrec congress in 2917 are used against him by a faction within the governing party.

He told SABC News on Friday that the resolutions of the ANC should not be factionalised.
His comments came as the ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) is expected to gather from Saturday for a crucial online meeting.
Among others, the NEC is expected to discuss the future of the Magashule who defied his suspension by suspending party president Cyril Ramaphosa during the week.
"There are these dominant people who think they are the ANC; the ANC is the people's movement.
"I will never allow any individual to take the ANC from me, we joined it together," said Magashule.
A defiant Magashule has described his suspension as an Apartheid banishment style.
"The ANC for the first time banishes people, under Apartheid they say; stay at home, don't talk to anybody, don't do this.
"It is a banishment order, you cannot do this under democratic South Africa," says Magashule.
He has vowed to attend the meeting in his capacity as Secretary General.
