Magashule takes ANC to court over 'step-aside' resolution

Embattled African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule is taking the party to court over his suspension.

According to court papers, Magashule wants the High Court in Johannesburg to rule that the governing party's 'step-aside' resolution is unconstitutional.
The suspended secretary-general also wants his suspension to be lifted.
In his court papers, party president Cyril Ramaphosa is the first respondent followed by acting party secretary-general Jessie Duarte and the ANC.
