Maimane: Bathabile Dlamini is useless, drunkard
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
DA leader Mmusi Maimane has accused Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini of using money meant for her department, to fund ANC campaigns.
Maimane led hundreds of DA supporters to the department's offices in Pretoria, amid uncertainty over the payment of social grants on April 1.
The department has been given seven days to respond to the DA's memorandum of demands.
The party repeated its call for Dlamini to be sacked as a minister.
"Minister Dlamini must resign immediately. She is incompetent, and cannot serve in any position in government. Government must tell us now whether there is an agreement between (social grants agency) SASSA and (distributor) CPS for the delivery of social grants after 31 March 2017," said the DA leader.
Maimane says Dlamini is incompetent and busy committing daylight robbery
"[Drunkard] Bathabile must go. Why do you send your most useless minister to deal with social grants? But because this is about all South Africans, they send the most useless, most corrupt minister. Bathabile must go and so should the rest of the ANC. They must be ashamed of themselves," said Maimane.

Maimane says the DA not only supports social grants, but the party would double it once it comes into power.
"The ANC wants you to believe that the DA is against social grants. They spread fake stories about how the DA will take away grants once we're in government. These are lies. Not only do we fully support the safety net of our social grant system, we even tried to increase the grants with an additional R2.2 billion in the budget," said Maimane.
