Malema calls on Koko, Molefe to rescue SA from load shedding

EFF leader Julius Malema has called on former Eskom CEOs Brian Molefe and Matshela Koko to help fix the energy crisis at the struggling power utility.
Malema briefed the media on Monday where he warned that South Africa could experience a total grid collapse within the next fortnight.
The country has been surviving with only a few hours of electricity a day due to Eskom's shortage of generation capacity.
On Monday, the embattled power utility warned that due to high electricity demand and the cold weather, stage 6 load shedding will be implemented until 5 am on Tuesday morning.
Malema believes former Eskom engineers can be able to save the struggling utility.
"Brian must come back, Matshela Koko must come back. So are all those Indian, coloured, white engineers. We are in a crisis, if they love this country, they must not ask for money, they must not ask for a payment, they must come and rescue this country," says Malema.
"All of these guys must come back and put their heads together and say how do we save our country? There is no time now for profit-making, there is no time to politics now - we are in a crisis.”
“I’m not saying Brian or anyone’s charges must be dropped. They have not been found guilty. I’m not saying go fetch them from jail… they are at home. Bring them here to come and help us, we have a problem here," he says.
Both Molefe and Koko are currently out on bail, following their arrest on separate matters relating to Eskom corruption.
Molefe is out on R50 000 bail while Koko was released on R300 000 bail last October.
