Nyalungu was arrested a few days after German tourist Jörg Schnarr was shot and killed during a botched hijacking along the R538 Numbi Road to the Kruger National Park.

"Napoleon Joseph Nyalungu, who has been arrested in connection with the murder case of one of the German tourists who visited the country on the 3rd of October, has reappeared at the Kabokweni Magistrate's Court facing three charges of murder, attempted murder and attempted hijacking .
"So far we have only arrested one suspect and we are still investigating we how that we will arrest more suspects as the time goes on because our investigations have not stopped.
"The reason for the postponement of his appearance is because he is going to apply for a formal bail application next week Friday,” adds Mohlala.
