Man dies after bakkie crashes into Westcliff swimming pool
A man in his thirties was killed this morning after his bakkie collided with another vehicle in Westcliff, north of Johannesburg, leading to a crash onto a private property.
The bakkie crashed through a fence and landed in a swimming pool of the property off Westcliff Drive.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says emergency personnel and police found the bakkie in the pool.
"The body of a man was found lying inside the bakkie and he was declared dead on the scene," says Meiring.
Paramedics managed to remove the man from the vehicle and found that he had sustained a serious head injury and showed no signs of life.
Police are investigating the incident.
