A man has been shot dead in Zondi, Soweto, Gauteng police said on Friday.

A man has been shot dead in Zondi, Soweto, Gauteng police said on Friday.
"A 33-year-old man was shot and killed last night [Thursday], around 8.20pm," said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela.
"Three males went into his house and demanded the keys to his rented car and his safe."
The men shot the man twice in the body, took his firearm and the rental car, and fled.
The man was later declared dead on the scene.
No arrests had been made.
Makhubela appealed to anyone with information about the killing to contact police.
