Man kills baby, himself in North West
A 25-year-old man stabbed his
baby to death near Mahikeng in North West.
Police say the man committed suicide following the incident.
The police's Kelebogile Moleko the incident took place at the Moshawane Village on Sunday.
Moleko says according to preliminary investigations the father fetched the child from the mother for a visit. He later stabbed the baby several times with a knife whereafter he hanged himself with a chain.
The horrifying incident took place as the annual child protection week came to an end.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
The motive for the killing is not yet clear.
